Trained dogs tackle the ruff road to prove canines can drive cars
12/11/2012We're guessing they didn't take the written "Rules of the Road" test, though we wouldn't put anything past these pooches. The rescue dogs being taught to drive in New Zealand did pass their TV road test Monday, proving they're not half-bad behind the wheel. As part of an effort to raise interest in shelter pet adoptions, two top-performing trained doggies, Monty and Porter, took to a track in their specially equipped vehicles, and performed admirably, despite a brief mishap in which a speed-limiting knob came off (whoops!). Can't wait to see how they do with parallel parking. [Source]
