'Drug' dealer's friend beat down after grass deal

We've all heard the stories about the sucker high-school freshman who forked over his lunch money in exchange for a dime bag of lawn clippings sold as "the chronic, yo!" A man who was apparently seriously deep in debt pulled the same trick on a couple of thugs in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, but, predictably, it all went wrong. He ripped up the grass, dried it out, then packed it up in two-pound bags, selling it for more than $23,000. Cleverly, he fled to Thailand as quickly as possible, leaving a friend to deal with the consequences. When the buyers, three men aged 25, found out they'd been short-shifted, they tracked down the scammer's friend, kidnapped him and savagely beat him, breaking his elbow and kneecap. The attackers have been sentenced to three years' prison.
