Atheists debut 'Dump the Myth' Jesus sign in time for Xmas
12/13/2012Poor taste or a brilliant marketing tactic? The group American Atheists chose the holiday season to debut a new sign in Times Square — one featuring a picture of Santa Claus (with the text "Keep the merry!") above a picture of Jesus (with a caption reading "Dump the myth!"). Obviously, the holiday-season tactic is no accident, and the group's president said it was intended to speak to "most Christians [who] are really atheists [and] feel trapped in their family's religion." The sign, in fact, will outlast the holiday season, at least this year: It won't come down until January 13, 2013. [Source]
