Eighth-grader is offered college football scholarship — again
2/26/2013The star of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide’s Junior Day this week-end was not a junior. Dylan Moses, an eighth grader from Baton Rouge, La., was offered a scholarship to play football at the university, the second time in eight months that a Southeastern Conference school has offered Day a scholarship. (LSU made Moses an offer last summer.) But before you wonder how this is a thing in real life, get rid of any conceptions you have about what an eighth grade football player looks like. At 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, this kid’s a man-child, and we’re not surprised that head coach Nick Saban thinks he’ll be the best player in the country in the Class of 2017 (High school class, of course). Moses says he isn’t making any decisions yet, and he certainly has time on his side. [Source]
