Buy it never: eBay bans listings for 'Django Unchained' slave toys1/25/2013
We hope you snapped up the full set of culturally insensitive "Django Unchained" action figures when you had the chance. Not only have they been pulled from shelves after protests from African-American activists, but eBay has pressed the "Delete" button on every "Django" slave toy on their site. Despite bids that were upward of $200, eBay says that all auctions for the items have been removed because the toys violate its "Offensive Materials" policy. "Since the manufacturer of this product has discontinued the item's sale due to its potentially offensive nature, we are not allowing it to be sold on eBay," the company said. Guess potential buyers will have to scope out semi-racist yard sales from now on. [Source]
