If you're still trying to figure out which came first, the chicken or the egg, we might finally have an answer for you: A Sri Lankan hen has given birth to the world's first "eggless" chick. The cute, fluffy miracle chick did have a shell, but it apparently hatched inside its poor mother after incubating within her reproductive system for 21 days. The live birth baffled Welimada's chief veterinary officer, who examined the carcass of the history-making mother bird. He concluded that the hen died of internal injuries. The chick, however, is doing just fine.
