Elderly couple drive the wrong car home and keep it for five days

1/6/2013

File this one under "When senior moments collide." An 84-year-old woman in Ontario, Ore., left her keys in her Oldsmobile Cutlass on a trip to the Red Apple grocery store. Naturally, it was missing when she returned to the parking lot, so she reported it stolen. Fast-forward five days: Red Apple employees called the police to report an abandoned Chrysler LeBaron in the same lot. When the cops contacted the owners, the 70ish couple insisted their car was parked in their driveway. And, yes, a car was there: the Cutlass. A swap was arranged, and no "grandparent theft auto" charges were filed. Now, do you know where your car keys are? [Source]
