Energy drinks are sending lots of people to emergency rooms
1/17/2013Next time you’re feeling sluggish and need a boost, you probably should bypass energy drinks for, say, coffee. Unless you want to crash and end up in an emergency room. Such has been the fate for many guzzlers of those highly caffeinated drinks in recent years, as a new government study found that the rate of people visiting ERs after consuming energy drinks doubled between 2007 and 2011.
