Jerk soccer defender uses opponent's face as a playing surface — twice

11/7/2012

It's a safe assumption that the majority of Americans aren't familiar with the nuances of soccer. That said, DON'T DO THIS. Amherst defender Emily Little decides to throw the ball in by bouncing it off her opponent's face. And — because it went so well the first time — she immediately does it again. Little was given a yellow card which, for the soccer illiterate, is a primary colored way of saying, "You're acting like a jerknugget" but doesn't actually do much otherwise to punish anyone. Amherst won this game, 1-0, but was eliminated from the New England Small College Athletic Conference tournament in the next round after losing on penalty kicks to Bowdoin College.
