EMTs rescue starving dog that they say vet clinic refused to take in
11/30/2012EMTs who usually focus their efforts on human patients were drafted into the service of a starving pit bull puppy on Wednesday. What makes the story even more incredible is where the two-person ambulance crew discovered the animal: in the parking lot of a Buffalo, N.Y., veterinary hospital. After knocking on the animal hospital's door, the EMTs were told that the SPCA had been contacted — and then the vet staffer "slammed the door in our face." The EMTs scooped up the abandoned dog and sped it to a local SPCA shelter, where more kindhearted vets are still working to save it. [Source]
