Runaway emu causes chaos in sleepy English town

Cops in the town of Barnstaple, England, must have wondered if they were on "Candid Camera" this morning when they were called upon to capture an escaped emu. The 4-foot-tall bird put on a show for locals, wandering about in the center of town. Self-conscious police wrestled the big bird into their police van, where it waited patiently until an animal ambulance arrived to cart it off. "I’ve dealt with deer, rabbits and cats and dogs before but never an emu," said one cop.
