Watch an NFL player rip into fans who cheered quarterback's injury
10/8/2012There are a few unspoken rules for going to an NFL game: Don't throw stuff on the field, don't curse around kids and don't cheer when a player gets injured, ever. Right? Apparently not in Kansas City, where some fans celebrated when THEIR OWN QUARTERBACK was knocked out in the fourth quarter. Matt Cassel was having an awful afternoon (9-15 for 92 yards, 2 interceptions and a fumble), and apparently some felt that was reason enough to cheer when he hit the ground with a concussion. Tackle Eric Winston called out those "fans" in a powerful postgame monologue. "When you cheer somebody getting knocked out … it's sickening," he said. "I've never been so embarrassed in my life to play football than at that moment right then."
