Ernie and Bert to get some fully-nude neighbors

Big Bird, Oscar, Ernie, Bert, Elmo and the gang are about to get some raunchy new company in South Florida: strippers and their tippling customers. The North Miami City Council voted this week to overturn an ordinance prohibiting alcohol and full nudity in the same venue. This will allow North Miami's first liquor-filled adult entertainment club — lap dancers and all — to open on Sesame Street, the very boulevard from which the local PBS affiliate has long broadcast its namesake kids TV show. "We are concerned about what's going to happen next door," WPBT CEO Rick Schneider told Local10.com. "We have school groups and kids that come here ... We don't think it's appropriate." Though, to be fair, Elmo doesn't wear pants either.
