So that's how you get an escalator into a skyscraper12/18/2012
How do you get a brand-new escalator up to the top floors of a skyscraper at the World Trade Center construction site? Very carefully. A pic of the massive automated stairway has a perspective that is enough to make you scream "Whoa!" at first glance, but here's the setup: The building in the background is actually World Trade Center 4, not World Trade Center 1, known as the Freedom Tower. The pic was reportedly taken from WTC 1 and a crane atop that building was hoisting the walkway into place. It looks daring, but must be easier than installing the escalator and constructing the building around it. [Source]
