Lack of health insurance drives ex-con back to prison for operation
2/27/2013There are few benefits of being in the slammer. But there is medical insurance, which is what led one inmate to get himself re-arrested. While initially in prison, the crook in question had been diagnosed with two life-threatening aneurysms in his hepatic, liver-feeding artery. Then he was released from the slammer — what would ordinarily be a happy event was, without insurance, not so much fun. So, in full view of security, he swiped some moisturizing cream from a department store, which got him an additional 14 months in the can ... and that much-needed surgery. Your move, Obamacare.
