Ex-'SNL' star Kevin Nealon makes pitch for 'no-kill L.A.'
6/20/2012Kevin Nealon was the Andy Samberg of his time (roughly, the late '80s) — and here he appears in a pitch for, well, lots of stuff at first: "Hi, I'm Kevin Nealon and I'm here to talk to you about gonorrhea," he says, before also mentioning lazy ear and infantile baldness in this pseudo-PSA. What else? Problems with Canadians, too many whales, trench mouth, bulimic insomnia and out-of-work astronauts. Here's the hook: "There are a lot of problems out there, and unfortunately, we can't do much about a lot of them. Here's one you can do something about: Homeless pets." Nealon's message of support for No Kill L.A. asks viewers to spay or neuter their pets, or adopt from a shelter. Consider this a low-key but effective way to get attention for a much-deserved (and, as Nealon says, solvable) problem.
