Drudge cryptically claims early exit polls 'tight'11/6/2012
The Drudge Report, on its front page late Tuesday afternoon, called the presidential election "tight" based on a summary of leaked and unsourced exit polls. It reported Mitt Romney leading in North Carolina and Florida, and Barack Obama leading in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Nevada. Drudge reported Ohio, Virginia, Colorado and Iowa as toss-ups. Exit poll leaks are notoriously unreliable, but, as numerous pundits and users mused on Twitter, if Drudge’s report is accurate, it seems to portend a strong start for Obama.
