Space station meal video will make you thankful for turkey, gravity
11/22/2012Even if the worst school lunch lady ever is whipping up your Thanksgiving meal, it’s still going to be better than the stuff astronauts are eating in space. Here’s Commander Kevin Ford walking us through the dried out, mashed up dinner he’s serving up on Thursday on the International Space Station. Dehydrated cornbread sauce, rehydratable potatoes au gratin, a pouch of thermostabilized cherry-peach cobbler ... no thanks. We’ll stick to the juicy turkey while sitting firmly planted by gravity in our chairs. On the other hand, those Russian mashed potatoes with onion sound pretty good.
