FAA calls fowl on guy who filmed birds sucked into plane
5/3/2012What happens when you film birds getting sucked into an airplane engine with your iPad during takeoff? You get a letter from the FAA, that's what. The agency has slapped Grant Cardone, the guy who recorded the fowl incident on Delta Flight 1063, with an official warning for using an electronic device during an emergency situation. But crack cameraman Cardone has fired back, saying, "If there is even a minute chance that an iPad could take a plane down then it is the FAA's obligation to ban the devices from flights." The FAA won't fine Cardone as requested by zillions of YouTube commenters, but the letter "will be made a matter of record for a period of two years."
