Facebook app can tell who gave you the flu, making public shaming easy
1/9/2013With the nation headed for a nasty flu season, the obvious question for victims to ask is, "Who did this to me, and where do they live?" A new application on Facebook has the answers. "Help, I have the flu" scans your Facebook friends' statuses for any moaning about symptoms like "sneezing," "coughing" or "vomiting," and pulls in check-in data to identify the culprit. As the app suggests, when you're hugging the toilet bowl, "Nothing will make you feel better like finding somebody to blame." Chicken soup, codeine bath bombs and bed rest will also help — but lack the fun of pointing the finger at others. [Source]
