Facebook broke the Internet (but it's all fixed now)
2/8/2013Facebook accidentally showed us that it has its clutches in every corner of the Internet last night when it started to hijack people from partner sites, instead sending them to Facebook. And worse, not even the Facebook we all loathe and love, but an error page. The Next Web reports that the evildoing was apparently a glitch in Facebook Connect, the code that lets you log into other sites with your Facebook ID. The whole thing went on for about a half-hour before Facebook said "there was a bug." Oh, good. Now we feel better. [Source]
