Facebook helps tourist find his lost camera
6/26/2012Losing your camera while traveling is pretty much a vacation-killer. So there was a young man out there who was probably feeling pretty miserable after losing the red Nikon Coolpix camera holding more than 2,800 photos of his recent trip around Europe. Luckily, the camera was found by all-round good guy Roland van Gogh, from the Netherlands, who picked it up in Amsterdam Amstel station. Instead of keeping the camera for himself, van Gogh posted a shot of the camera's presumed owner to Facebook, asking the Internet for help tracking him down. The photo above got almost 50,000 shares and the owner was found. "Looks like we found him!" says van Gogh's latest status update. "It's a guy from Canada who is on a trip through Europe."
