Scientists at Columbia University have discovered a link between using the social network and an increased risk of obesity. Researchers surveyed 500 people and their Internet use and determined that those who used Facebook the most had higher body mass indexes than people who chose to lead real, fulfilling lives offline. It was also found that instances of binge eating were higher among individuals who live to Like statuses. Maybe all those pics of food just end up making us hungry all the time. [Source]
