Facebook quietly unveils cool and slightly creepy GPS app
6/25/2012Facebook very quietly unveiled a cool and potentially creepy feature called "Friendshake," which allows you to use a GPS-enabled phone to "friend" the people around you. It's great for parties, and potentially great for pervs as well -- but as long as you're judicious with your friend confirmations, you should be fine. No more screaming names over a symphony of Skrillex or calling each other to get a number; now you can look at photos of your instant crush, instantly. If you're still creeped out, you can always turn off the "Friendshake" feature or even quit Facebook altogether. Just a reminder.
Would you use Friendshake?
