Facebook removes pictures of baby with birth defect
5/19/2012A Tennessee mother is protesting Facebook with a 24-hour ban after it removed pictures of her newborn baby "because of the content." Grayson James Walker was born on February 15, 2012 and died eight hours later, due to a rare birth defect, anencephaly, in which the baby is born without parts of the brain and skull. Though alerted 16 weeks into the pregnancy, Heather Walker opted to carry the baby to term. She posted pictures of Grayson without a hat on Facebook, which started the controversy. "They allow people to post almost nude pictures of themselves, profanity, and so many other things but I'm not allowed to share a picture of God's beautiful creation," Walker argued.
