Handyman finds massive beehive in family's bedroom

7/17/2012

An Australian homeowner called a handyman to check out the discoloration that was slowly spreading across the ceiling of one bedroom. When Matt Eyles arrived to check it out, he found a massive brown stain that smelled remarkably like honey. He tasted it and -- luckily! -- realized that it WAS honey. When the ceiling was removed, Eyles discovered a huge beehive that stretched throughout the room, one that was dripping with honey after the bees had moved elsewhere. The hives were removed but the bees came back; the homeowners discovered that they had an estimated 40,000 unwanted roommates. We're unsure whether the family stayed, but we know a certain red-shirted bear who might wanna relocate from 100 Acre Wood. [Source]
