Family sues landlord, claiming their rental house is haunted

A family who fled their rental house after a week is suing their landlord for their deposit, claiming the house is haunted and could endanger their lives. Their descriptions of the paranormal activity do sound like, well, "Paranormal Activity": Lights flicker on and off, nighttime forces pull at their bed sheets, linens fling themselves from cupboards, and eerie whispers are heard. A pastor consulted by the family describes the activity as "demonic possession," and a paranormal investigator in says the site is "an active or intelligent haunting." The landlord, meanwhile, is adamant the claims are a con, as the house has no history of supernatural complaints -- though curiously enough, the alleged hauntings are happening in the same town where "The Amityville Horror" was filmed.
