Homophobe dad's letter disowning gay son goes viral
8/8/2012Five years ago, Reddit user RegBarc told his father he was gay. A week later, he received a heartbreaking letter from his dad disowning him. RegBarc posted the letter to Reddit today in response to the “zealotry” of anti-gay bigots and the negative impact they have on “everyday people.” In the letter, RegBarc’s father wrote “You’ve made your choice though Wrong it may be. God did not intend for this unnatural lifestyle.” He also told RegBarc he was cutting off communication with his son and for him to “have a good life.” The letter went viral, with many commenters leaving messages of support for RegBarc.
