Dad accused of giving baby son near-lethal dose of booze

The 19-year-old Louisiana father has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly pouring rum into his hospitalized 2-month-old son's feeding tube. Little Luis Ruiz was suffering with breathing difficulties when he was admitted to Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson, La. While he was undergoing treatment, his worried father is said to have poured the contents of a bottle of rum into his son’s tube. After suffering from seizures, Luis was rushed to the pediatric intensive care unit, with a blood alcohol content level of .289.
