Two students suspended in case of bullied teen who killed herself10/28/2012
Since Felicia Garcia jumped in front of a train after a series of despondent texts and Facebook updates, two of the bullies connected with her suicide have been suspended from her Staten Island high school. The 15-year-old girl, a foster child who had lost both her parents, made some very teenaged decisions at a party and got involved with some football players — an encounter that was filmed and posted online. Two upperclassmen who were not a part of the football team latched onto the adolescent escapade and used it to denigrate the young Felicia, although it seems many students were culpable in taunting and shaming her, behavior that will no doubt haunt them long after they leave school.
