Iran shows off finger-amputating machine used to punish thieves

Apparently not content with scaring the crap out of monkeys, Iran has turned its attention to torturing humans. The Iranian Students' News Agency — one of the country's official press agencies — released this picture of a guillotine-looking device that will reportedly be used to amputate the fingers of thieves. The bearded, blindfolded man shown in the photograph had been convicted of theft and adultery. The grisly picture came along with the warning that "sentences against criminals are to become increasingly severe." Yes, Iran, you’ve definitely made your point. [Source]
