Fish story might land German dad in jail

​A German dad trying to impress his kids might end up in jail -- after he "fished" a catch he had actually bought in a grocery store. Alexander Donninger could face up to six months in prison or "360 days of earnings," according to Die Welt, for purchasing two frozen trout, thawing them, and then pretending to catch them in a lake in Austria's Kufstein district, where he was vacationing with his family. A passerby reported him to authorities for poaching -- and when Donninger tried to explain that he had faked the entire thing, they assumed he was lying.
