Today's catch is handgun for stunned fisherman
9/25/2012A Massachusetts fisherman — who was described as "still hyperventilating" over an hour later by a news reporter — apparently freaked out when he reeled in a handgun covered in barnacles, saying the experience was "upsetting and scary." When Alberto Pina realized what he'd caught on Carson Beach he promptly tossed it back in the water. He then contacted authorities, who had to fish it out again. Authorities have yet to announce whether the weapon is real or not. Either way, Pina says his three-year-old son witnessed the "horrible" sight of the recovered gun: "I came here for some striper, not a rifle." [Source]
