Sixteen $100K Fisker cars blow themselves up during Sandy
11/1/2012What does a $1.6 million explosion sound like? We'll have to ask Fisker Automotive. Sixteen of the luxury carmaker's $100,000 Karma hybrid sports sedans caught fire, blew up and then burned to a crisp after being submerged during Hurricane Sandy. The pricey fleet was parked in Port Newark, N.J., when waves from the storm surge crashed over the port and destroyed the Justin Bieber-approved vehicles. "We can report that there were no injuries and none of the cars were being charged at the time," Fisker said in a statement. "We intend to find the cause as quickly as possible." We're guessing bad Karma. ZING! [Source]
