Schools focus on important things like banning Flamin' Hot Cheetos

10/17/2012

The Flamin' Hot Cheetos would be an excellent name for a band, but they're apparently a terrible idea for your kid's lunch.  School administrators in California and New Mexico have cracked down on the bright red snack food, banning them from on-campus cafeterias for reasons that range from their poor nutritional value (a snack-sized bag has 25 percent of the daily recommendation of fat and sodium) to the radioactive-looking dust that comes out of each bag. One middle school teacher in New Mexico sent a letter home to parents, urging parents to leave the Flamin' Hots at home because of the "janitorial nightmare" of Cheeto-colored fingerprints all over the classrooms. Pick a different snack, kids, so teachers can focus on actual teaching. [Source
