But a new startup, Flightcar.com, wants to change that, building something akin to “the AirBnB of car rental.” Thousands of people drive to an airport each day, paying a fortune for their car to sit idle in a parking lot. Flightcar.com would allow you to rent your car to another short-term traveler while you’re gone. The company handles all gas, insurance and inspection issues, and even cleans the car.
