Florida couple arrested after police find 300 animals in their home
1/7/2013A couple has been charged with animal cruelty after authorities found 300 animals in their Oldsmar, Florida home. Police visited the residence after receiving a call about a missing 16-month-girl and found a menagerie of snakes, lizards, rabbits, birds and rats, including three dead rats and a dead hamster. Officials say the child was found unharmed at a relative's house who had taken her after being unable to wake up the allegedly drunk couple. The pair has also been charged with child abuse. Police claim the couple bred the animals to sell for profit without proper licensing. [Source]
