Romney aide admits Obama will win Florida

11/9/2012

While the rest of the country is still waiting for Florida to hurry things up and announce whether Barack Obama or Mitt Romney claimed the state's 29 electoral votes, one Romney aide has given up and conceded that President Obama won the state. While this is far from an official projection or declaration, Romney campaign senior strategist Brett Doster admitted his candidate won't be taking the state. "We thought … that we had done what we needed to win," Doster said. "Obviously, we didn't." Winning Florida would bring Obama's electoral vote total to 332.  It's all for the record books though, because even if Romney were to take the state, Obama is over the 270 votes needed to win already.
