Football player does a perfect somersault during scrimmage
4/24/2012It remains to be seen if Martee Tenner's Mary Lou Retton impression is indeed the best college football play of the year, but the 5-foot-7 Lincoln University running back turned an otherwise mundane play -- a screen pass during a spring scrimmage -- into a spectacular one, thanks to his sense of timing and springy athleticism. After catching the pass, Tenner gains about eight yards before encountering a defender. Without hesitating, he executes a front somersault over the defender, who is at least two yards away, landing perfectly on his feet four yards from where he started, then gaining about 30 more yards.
