Forest Whitaker is peeved when NYC deli worker allegedly frisks him

Apparently being an Oscar-winning actor doesn't mean you're safe from being accused of random crimes. Just ask Forest Whitaker, who, according to TMZ, was mortified when he was recently accused of stealing from a deli on New York City’s Upper West Side. Whitaker says an employee stopped him as he was leaving the Milano Market. The worker allegedly accused Whitaker of swiping something from the shelf, then proceeded to frisk him in public. The employee was probably pretty embarrassed when his search turned up nada. Whitaker's rep called the debacle an "upsetting incident" before adding that "Forest did not call the authorities at the request of the worker, who was in fear of losing his employment."
