Top Fox News executives reportedly explicitly barred producers from raising the subject of gun control after the Sandy Hook school shootings in Connecticut. That despite the network's proprietor, Rupert Murdoch, taking to Twitter to call on politicians to ban automatic weapons. The conservative-leaning network has tended to oppose calls for gun regulation in the past, which might explain its current silence on the issue — not unlike that of the National Rifle Association.
