Fox News calls on noted religious scholar Santa Claus
12/21/2012Fox News hasn’t made a secret out of how it feels about the phrase "happy holidays." In short, the network suggests it's an abominable attempt to take the "merry" and "Christmas" out of December. In what’s becoming an annual tradition, Fox News interviewed noted religious scholar Santa Claus Thursday, asking about how American culture is trying to make Christmas politically correct. Santa — OK, it was really one of his most devoted followers, Sal Lizard —said the secularization of Christmas isn’t just happening in the U.S. "I heard Santa in Australia said 'ha, ha, ha,' so as not to offend certain gals and Santas in England couldn’t have children on their laps anymore." Lizard added: "I can't find any reference where Santa's said anything other than Merry Christmas." We assume he was looking in the Bible. [Source]
