Right-to-work protestors caught on tape beating up Fox News reporter

12/12/2012

Self-described conservative commentator and comedian Steven Crowder found himself in a decidedly unfunny position in Lansing, Mich., Tuesday when he was assaulted by angry protestors while covering a demonstration for Fox News. He later broadcast video (warning: NSFW) of the violent confrontation with opponents of the state's newly approved right-to-work legislation, which they say will hamper unions' financial and negotiating powers. The ruckus kicked off when Crowder argued with protestors tearing down a tent pitched by a pro-right-to-work group on the Capitol lawn. He was grabbed and punched in the face; someone even threatened to kill him with a gun. Later he tweeted: "Even if you hate me, nothing I could have done warranted being suckerpunched and threatened with murder." [Source]
