Foxconn workers strike over Apple's overwhelming demands

The workers of Foxconn in Zhenghou, China, a major source of Apple products, are now on strike. The 3,000-4,000 defiant workers say the impossibly precise specs of the iPhone 5 put incredible pressure on workers, who have to work measurements as tiny as 0.02 mm. Workers, who have been denied vaction and time off, are faulted for scratched cases and tiny mistakes. Foxconn may have an nonhuman solution to its increasing labor problems, with plans to put a million robots to work in 2014. Their CEO complained of his stressed human workers, saying, “manag[ing] one million animals gives me a headache” [Source]
