Hong Kong apartment sells for $61 million
8/26/2012If you had a dime for every bummer story you’ve heard about this down economy, you might have enough to buy the most expensive apartment in Asia. But whoops -- another rich person has beat you to it! For a completely reasonable $61 million ($9,733 per square foot) an unidentified buyer purchased the eighth-floor apartment in Hong Kongs famed, Frank Gehry-designed Opus building. The apartment is the second most expensive in the world, right behind London’s One Hyde Park. And we know you’re upset that you can’t buy it, but don’t worry: an $850,000 a month apartment in the same building is still on the market. [Source]
