Frank Gehry to design Facebook's odd-looking new headquarters
8/26/2012In keeping with the young, cool, innovative shtick, Facebook announced that famed architect Frank Gehry will be designing the company's new corporate headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., and boy, does the floor plan look weird. Apparently the building will house one large room (think: warehouse), and the 3,400 some will sit out in the open like they do now in their current building. The space will have plenty of room for cafes, kitchens full of snacks, and couches so employees don’t have to be cooped up at their desks. Oh, and apparently there will be trees on top of the building. It sounds OK, but can you imagine getting lost in this thing? Are employees allowed to Tweet for help (or directions?) [Source]
