Fresh Step pulls off bacon-scented kitty litter gag

In this age of bacon, organic bacon-scented kitty litter sounds almost plausible. But don't be fooled, the "Local 7 News" report on Fresh Step Organic Bacon Litter that's hit YouTube is, as those with an eye on the calendar may have guessed, an early April Fools' Day joke that's apparently got Fresh Step maker Clorox's blessing. Still, the elaborate gag, which also sends viewers to a faux product web page, is actually pretty funny for corporate-approved humor, what with the mouth-watering aroma and "urine-activated sizzle sound." Clorox is also promoting another faux item: bacon-scented Green Works cleaning products, which leave your skin "piglet soft." Oink.
