Possibly insane home jetpack designed to reach altitude of 25,000 feet
2/27/2013Today in "Future Fodder for YouTube 'Fail' Compilations": Fritz Unger's homemade jetpack, called Skyflash. Inspired by the wings of a condor (a bird we feel compelled to remind you is endangered), Skyflash has an 11-foot wingspan, and is powered by two turbo jets. The team ambitiously projects that Skyflash will reach altitudes of 25,000 feet and be capable of 200 mph speeds, but right now, it maxes out at a slightly-safer 78 mph at heights of up to 11,800 feet. Oh, and they haven't figured out how to land the thing yet, though the team is planning a full test flight sometime by mid-year. We can't wait. [Source]

Would you try to pilot Skyflash if given the chance?
