The Internet's craziest food obsessions
7/20/2012People of the world have been obsessed with wacky food combos and funny homages to crazy eats for a very long time. With the invention of both fast food and the Internet the stakes have been growing by the day. One of the greatest examples is a web series called ‘Epic Meal Time’, which tends to focus heavily on making meat filled entrees. Chick-fil-A has been under fire for a while now due to the company’s political affiliations, which has of course spawned plenty of fun tributes. The latest comes from Nick Kroll and company and shows them singing about their “Chikk Klub” chain. Still a favorite from a few months back is both a shout out and diss on the chicken-themed fast food chain, called ‘Chow Down (at Chick-fil-A).’ Internet sensations Rhett & Link created a folk song for Taco Bell and tested it out at the drive thru on an unsuspecting worker. Another variety of food video also made the list, the cinnamon challenge, with the attempt by a woman named GloZell being one of the most amusing. You can probably buy some nice organic cinnamon at Whole Foods, but these guys from the ‘Whole Foods Parking Lot’ video wouldn’t know because they apparently barely ever get inside. Who knew food could be so inspiring?
