Gabby Giffords to sit down with Diane Sawyer on shooting anniversary

It's been almost two years since the U.S. was shocked by the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords during a "Congress in your Corner" meeting with constituents outside a Safeway in Tucson, Ariz. While the Congresswoman survived the shot to the head, six people were killed and 12 others injured. Since the Dec. 14 massacre in Newtown, Giffords has reached out and visited families of victims. Giffords and her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, will sit down with Diane Sawyer of ABC news on Jan. 8 — the second anniversary of Giffords' being shot — for an interview on a new initiative they are launching.
